This is the 400-size Toledo (4 7/8" capped). As with the M900, this pen has a hand-engraved 24K gold-over-sterling-silver (vermeil) sheath on the barrel depicting stylized pelicans, their environment and chicks, as well as long-established Pelikan design motifs. Different from the 900 is the finish on the twin cap rings, clip and clip band which are matte in this version. The ink window is also slightly longer, compared to the 900. It weighs 22.5 grams, the same as a an M650. This pen takes M600 nibs.

This particular pen came with an 18K traditional-imprint Extra Fine nib unit (#4 on our Pelikan Interchangeable Nibs page) but we can provide any M600 size nib you might want instead, or in addition.

The Eagle has landed! The three pens arrived this morning, and of course, to say I was satisfied would be a terrific understatement....The M-700 Toledo is a beauty and the nib that John made for it, a BB-Stub, is incredible-- smooth, distinct and various also.
