Launched on September 15, the special edition Shanghai comes in hot colors. This is the most transparent of the Cities series to our eye, so far. When you hold it to the light there is no question as to how much ink is in the barrel.

This is the same pen as the gold-tone image, above, believe it or not, just rotated 90 degrees.

Although there are two red and two yellow bands on this pen, the width and placements of the color bands are somewhat random, so they can line up in irregular ways. Danielle says this pen shows all the joyous brilliance of a Chinese lantern.

This image comes as close as possible to showing the richness of the red color.
We have ordered a good number of these pens, but only ten have been delivered, of which two have already been shipped.
