Pelikan M620 Place De La Concorde
The second in Pelikan's tribute to "the world's most celebrated squares," this special edition pen commemorates the largest of the Parisian royal squares. Site of numerous beheadings during the French Revolution, the huge octagonal space, which separates the gardens of Tuileries from the beginning of the Avenue des Champs-Elysées, has evolved into a site of harmony and thus, the contemporary appellation.. If you wish to read more about the history and lore of the Place, please click here: http://www.paris.org/Monuments/Concorde/
An M600 size, at 5 1/4" long capped, with a barrel diameter of just under 1/2", this pen is made of resins in soft shades of sand, tan and light blue, with pearlescent swirls within the bands (see the detail below). We think the white metal of the trim nicely accentuates the pearl swirls. As you can see from the two scans above, the color bands are in different places on the two barrels. Each pen is unique in this regard. Unlike other Pelikan fountain pens, this one has no ink window, nor is the barrel transparent.

WE HAVE ALL FACTORY NEW 18K TIP SIZES IN STOCK and believe we are the only ones able to offer the EF, OM, OB, BB and OBB sizes as options in the M620 Series pens.

Made of opaque bands of three soft-toned shades of resin, each color contains swirls of iridescent pearl, seen in the detail above. These swirls change with the light as the pen is rotated or revolved in the fingers.
The presentation box is covered with a lightly textured pale blue vinyl and lined in dark blue suede. The brochure included gives quite a bit of information about the making of the pen and the location it was designed to honor.
We have good stock of these pens at present, but as with all the M620 series, when they are gone there won't be any more.

"Dear Pat and John
Thank you for the Place De La Concorde, safely received this morning. The pen is beautiful and even on a dull Suffolk day it picks up and reflects the light. I have been writing all day and the line width and ink flow are exactly what I wanted. I am delighted and look forward to purchasing from you again.
Kind regards
Robert"(U.K.)(2/13/06)

Hi Pat, I received the pen yesterday! It is so beautiful and has a lovely, serene quality to it. It writes wonderfully. Thanks for another great pen. Kind regards, Lisa Griffin" (9/22/05)
