Pelikan
M620 Niagara Falls Special Edition |
|
|
| When we heard the new Pelikan M620
Special Edition series pen was going to pay homage to the Niagara
Falls, we were interested to see how water would be represented
in the round. Pelikan dove straight in and surfaced with a completely
new design concept for its "Natural Beauties" Special
Edition. From it's its wider clip to the dome-like shape of
the cap crown, the total appearance of the pen has been redesigned.
Capped, the Niagara is just under 5 1/2". Posted, it is
6 1/4". |
|
| The enormous volume of water that pours over the Niagara
Escarpment rock is expressed with the barrel's slightly bulging middle. At it's
widest point the barrel is only 0.56 inches wide, making it a more generous handfull
than the width of a regular M600. The gripping section is a comfortable 0.383
inches. |
 |
| The pattern of long and short silver dashes and
dots on the metal barrel is a reference to the streaming flow of water. These
dashes gush out from the section and seem to accelerate as they go toward the
back of the pen. The body of this fountain pen is metal, but the cap is resin.
The trim and clip are silver plated. |
This pen comes with a solid 18K gold rhodium plated
nib and is a available in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium,
Broad, and double Broad sizes. These nibs can be customized
upon request for an extra charge. Because this pen
has the same nib size as the M600, we can fit it with
any 14K stock Oblique Medium, Oblique Broad, or Oblique
double Broad, although they would not be the "correct"
nibs for the pen.
The silver patterns
on the rollerball are featured at the top, while the main section of the pen is
a solid blue. . Retail Price $415 Our Price
