Pelikan M620 Athens

As of May, 2004, the M620 Athens, Pelikan Cities Series fountain pen, has been sold out at the factory and US distributor. And it's the most unusual yet. This pen reminds Pat of Aegean sea blue, Mediterranean hills yellow and pearlescent gray. The resins evoke moving water, ever-changing clouds and wind through the olive groves in her imagination. We thought the San Francisco was spectacular (and still do) but this is like nothing else. Where the blue and yellow overlap, a misty green is produced.

"Dear Pat, This is just to let you know that I received my beautiful Athens this morning. Very many thanks to you and to John for getting it to me so quickly. I'm quite blown away by how special it is. I know you warned me that it was something else, but it has far exceeded my expectations in terms of its beauty. And the nib! Well, I have been lucky enough to have a nib from John before but this is gorgeous - just the right degree of sharpness, smooth and flowing and it makes my horrible handwriting look stylish, which is not an easy thing to do. Many many thanks. I am thrilled. With very best wishes, Sarah" (5/17/04)

Those who mix colors know that combining blue and yellow results in green. Thus in this pen two green soft-edged stripes run vertically from the twin silver-plated blind cap bands to the clip tassie. The cap is four-start threaded so that the stripes can always be perfectly aligned.

As with all Pelikan pens the full range of nibs from extra-fine to double-broad oblique is available. And we can customize these further.

The handsome presentation box is dark blue vinyl with a vanilla suede lining.
