M 450 Green Tortoise Fountain Pen | ||

| This M400 size pen combines a small
standard size, 4 7/8" capped, with high drama. Not only is this the first
of the full vermeil trim pens, it has a new tortoise color which is darker than
the earlier White Tortoise. Note the
variation in the color between the different angles of this same pen. The top
looks darker and the bottom lighter, even though it is the same barrel. | ||

| The combination of excellent metal
work with an iridescence lined tortoise plastic body is vintage Pelikan. German
engineering and this work horse style make this a good user pen with great balance.

blind tail cap is also vermeil. | |

like to get in close on the surfaces so that the quality of the work can be seen.
Note the passages of iridescence in the resin and the crisp machining on the cap. Available in EF, F, M, B, BB and OB nibs. We can make special arrangements for other nibs. | |

John, My Pelikan 450 fountain pen arrived today in good condition. It’s really quite a lovely pen—very pleasing to the eye. When posted, it is just the right size for me, and when I filled it with ink and laid nib to paper, it was an amazingly smooth feel with just the right ink flow . I’m very happy that I finally got to own one of these beauties. Thanks for getting it to me so quickly. I’m disappointed that I can’t make it to the L.A. show- maybe next year. I’ll keep in touch.
