Pelikan Humankind Expo Limited Edition The Humankind has a double helix motif (this would make Crick and Watson proud). Each pen comes with it's own aluminum backed box with the motif of the etched aluminum, and a hand signed final control certificate with a numbered personal service card inside the box. We offer our guarantee on the nib and the writing quality of each pen. Pelikan states in this certificate that each nib has been carefully tested and "run in" by hand. We noticed that in the accompanied booklet reference is made to the DNA, deoxyribonucleic acid, as a code to "infinite variety" which "still guards from us the secret of our life". Little did they know, in just a few short years, that the human genome would be well on the way to being decoded. None the less, this pen has a gorgeous design. Retail price: $1,275.00 each

Pelikan Nature Expo Limited Edition
The Nature Expo is engraved with cephalopods, fossilized extinct sea creatures, "which existed when the earth was in the central phase of its development". ( The reason ammonites have been used here to depict nature is because, a "wide range of fossilized ammonites have been discovered, thereby allowing scientists to date them accurately and to use them to extend evolutionary theory.") Pelikan Technology Expo Limited Edition The circuit has been engraved into the overlay of the Technology pen as a symbol of advancement. We find it ironic that what looks like a very up to date symbol will soon be obsolete. (But then we have a friend that collects Ataris and TRS-80's.) |
