Pelikan Cities Series

Pelikan M620 Chicago

The 2003 addition to this series salutes The Windy City, Chicago. As with the other Cities, they will be available only until the single production run is sold out. Retail price $350.00. SOLD OUT

Reminiscent of Parker's Gray/Black Deluxe Challenger and Vacumatic of the 1920s, the pearl, gray and black matcials of this pen evoke a vintage feeling. The silver-plated clip, section ring and cap and barrel bands compliment and highlight the subdued tones of the pen itself.

This M620 comes with an 18K two-tone nib and we have these in all available tip widths from EF to OBB. Customizations are of course available. We are also able to equip this pen with a 14K nib unit and customize it for added flex.

Pelikan M620 Madrid

This is the fourth color of Pelikan's "Cities" series, honoring Spain's capital, Madrid. As befits "the fiery heart of Spain," the color of this M620 pen is basically RED! (Olé!) and quite brilliant. Similar to the Berlin and Stockholm, the material seems to be chunks of radiant red, black and pearl blended together and shaped into gorgeous transparency. Retail price $350.00.

This detail shows the transparency of the cap . See the inner threads visible through the cap body.

This series began in 2002 and will only be available until they are gone. These are not part of the regular Souverän series.

Pelikan M620 San Francisco

As opposed to the M620 Berlin, Stockholm and Madrid, the material of the San Francisco is more swirled and less hard-edged (see detail below). Amber, moss green, black and pearl meld to form Pelikan's tribute to the U.S.'s City by the Bay. As is the case with all of the cities series, the mix of plastic in each pen is unique. This is particularly true of the San Francisco.

"The pen arrived last night and.... it's everything I had hoped it would be. It writes beautifully, of course: Your firm's reputation and zeal for providing a beautiful writing experience was a huge factor in my purchase decision, and I must say you have lived up to this high standard.

I knew the San Francisco would be a little smaller than my 805, but it's still a comfortable fit. I will use it regularly. But at the risk of seeming superficial, I've gotta say that visually the pen is a knockout. I was not prepared for the depth and richness of the pen's appearance, nor had I expected the luscious "cat's eye" quality of the marbleization. You picked a beauty. This is going to sound corny, but I was also moved by the comments about San Francisco in the accompanying booklet; given the extraordinary look of the pen I felt that Pelikan had offered it as a sincere homage to the City I love so much (pardon the capital "C" -- it's a local quirk). I recently celebrated my 20th anniversary as a San Franciscan, and although I did not have this fact even remotely in mind when considering acquiring it, I now realize that this pen is the perfect way to commemorate this major milestone in my life. I can't keep my hands -- and eyes -- off of it. Thanks for all your assistance, Pat. I am very pleased. Very truly yours, Kent" (3/25/04)

Large patches of pearlescent color are separated by dark edges, making this pen a deep color.

Could the color makers have been thinking about the fog in this west coast city?

A tan leatherette box with a white interior completes the presentation of the San Francisco.

Pelikan M620 Berlin

Berlin, once known as a popular center of international bohème, is in a stage of powerful revitalization. Although the cranes hover over new construction in the downtown area, the city boasts 400,000 foliage trees making it arguably the greenest capital city in Europe.

Although this M620 is not a limited edition pen, it is only being made for one year. After 2002 Pelikan will no longer be shipping this pen. It comes in a distinctive padded, bound and stitched presentation box in the color of the pen. The Berlin comes with a green case and the Stockholm comes in a blue case. Our price: $298.00

Dear Pat, Danielle,John,
The Pelikan M620- Berlin is great. The ink just flows onto the paper without any effort. No pen I have ever owned has given me such pleasure in writing. The nib adjustment is perfect for my writing. And its beautiful to look at. "I LOVE THIS PEN!" (I hope I didn't go over the top here.)
Thank you so very much.
