OMAS T2

In working with our Omas supplier we have discovered that the factory kept a number of "discontinued" and "sold out" items in reserve. Among these were a number of the Limited Edition T2 fountain pens. As of late 2004 we are SOLD OUT of these again. If we ever acquire another, we'll post it on our IN STOCK list on our Omas main page.

When we originally had these pens in 2000, John made a personal statement about their quality, design and appeal. Everything is still true and so it is inserted here:

I was not disappointed when I saw this pen. Cut from solid pieces of titanium, it is an achievement of modern industrial design. Based on the Paragon, this 12-sided metal clad pen is light, strong and understated. The very fine cut lines on each facet of the cap and barrel adds a depth to the surface (see detail scan below.) Titanium is a very challenging metal to work with. (Parker's 1970 T1 titanium fountain pen was very difficult to produce.) The nib is 18K gold and is laser engraved with the OMAS 75th anniversary logo.

The filling system is, as with other OMAS pens, a reliable twist-filler type. It holds considerably more ink than the Parker or Waterman's converters. Rather than being cold to the touch, as many metal pens are, this machined titanium fountain pen has a warm, almost sensuous feel in the hand. It's like no other pen we've ever seen.

The imprint on the back of the cap (detail above) is incredibly crisp.

The Greek Key design on the cap and section is elegant; a lovely compliment to the titanium.

The Limited Edition T2 is the same size as the large Paragon, 5 5/8" long, capped.

The non-limited Milord-size T2 has been discontinued. However, it is still available from the factory in Fine and Medium flexible titanium nibs, while supplies last.
