This is Omas' Saft Green with Hi-Tech (rhodium) trim. The color
is reminiscent of the Wahl Eversharp Doric, "Kashmir Green from Persia,"
1931. The light pearl green color contrasts with the dark veins against the deep
green and depending on the angle that you hold the pen, the colors shift in intensity.
Although not as bronzy as the Moss Agate plastic that Waterman's initiated in
the late 20s, this material shows larger patterns of pearl. We believe the pearlescence
is achieved by flaking mother of pearl and adding it to the mix in its liquid
state, as it was done originally. SOLD

"The
Omas Celluloid Saft Green fountain pen arrived this afternoon in perfect condition.
What a gem it is! One could easily regard this writing instrument as a piece of
very fine jewellry, the colors are so rich and blend beautifully and the structure
is superb. I am awaiting a supply of Omas ink from Ink Palette so as yet I have
not filled the pen but I have briefly dipped the nib to test it out and it's performance
can be described as unequalled..... Of course you may use my correspondence for
your web site; I would be honored and thank you for considering me.... David"
