Omas Paragon Ebony Fountain Pen

This full Paragon size pen (5 5/8", capped) is the one many of us are familiar with in both vegital resin and celluloid. Now Omas is producing a series of wood pens. They have the advantage finger friendliness of wood. It is a material that is fun to hold. Combine this with the Sterling silver metal section, clip and rings and we have a sensuous and practical pen. Notice the elegant transition between the wooden barrel and the gripping section.

The section is stamped "925" followed by a hallmark showing a star, "144" and "BO", all indicating a sterling silver casting. As with all polished metallic surfaces, this one will mar if not handled carefully.
Omas has solved a problem that plagued wood pens in the past. Because wood is an organic material that shrinks and expands with changes in humidity, it was vulnerable to cracking, especially at the cap lip and at the edge of the barrel. This new pen is banded at the cap lip and secured at the barrel edge, greatly minimizing this possibility.

The silver clip on this pen is simplified to a basic shape. The overall effect of the 12 sided barrel and cap along with the subtle taper makes this fountain pen an elegant statement. We can provide this pen with the full range of nib sizes, Extra Fine to Oblique Double Broad. These pens have been discounted and once they are gone they are gone.
