OMAS uses their Greek key design around the cap band and the barrel grip. One full and one empty cartridge fill the metal holder. There must be two cartridges in the holder while in use to secure them against the feed. When one is empty you always have a spare.

The top of the holder unscrews to allow the removal and insertion of new cartridges.

As with all fountain pens regular cleaning is important. This model presents a different challenge because it can't be piston flushed. It can be washed under the tap. But, it must be dryed before reassembly.
