OMAS Celluloid Bronze Arco HT
Very few of these pens were made and they will soon be gone. Because the warm tones of the Bronze Arco contrast strongly with the rhodium (white metal) surface of the clip, the bands and the nib, this is a very unusual pen.
Made from the hand layered celluloid that has become the hallmark of OMAS high end fountain pens, this pen is a classic favorite of many collectors.
The roller ball clip and Greek key design on the cap date from Wahl-Eversharp's Gold Seal pen of 1928. This clip slid easily onto a pocket then as it does now. Some designs last because they are good and this pen is one of them. Although we understand that plans are in the works, as yet OMAS has not replaced this 12-faceted fountain pen.
The beauty and simplicity of this hand made material, resembling vibrant wood grain, is seen no where else, not even in the great Wahl-Eversharp Doric pens of the 1930's.

We can provide this pen with the nib of your choice from extra-fine to double-broad. We can also modify it to a cursive italic point, my favorite for correspondence.

We test every pen that we send out using ink on paper, and we also pressure test the seals so that you know you will be getting a pen that is not only beautiful, but functional.

These pens have been discontinued and are only available while supplies last. As of February 2007, we are out of this pen with the gold trim so this is the last of the old style Bronze Arco available.

"Pat,

The Arco arrived this afternoon. What a beautiful, stunning pen. I have always wanted one and I decided I deserved one for father's day. The BB nib is very smooth, with great ink flow, just like I like them. This will obviously become my favorite pen. Thanks for getting it out so quickly. It will make the weekend much nicer. My best. Thanks again.

"Dear Pat and John
The Arco Bronze HT arrived this morning and has been in use all day. What a beauty; it really does live up to all that is said about it. Each time I look at the pen I can see something new in the pattern and the way it changes with the light is a joy. Ink flow and line width are spot-on for my writing style and as ever, great service from yourselves. I am really going to enjoy owning this pen.
Kind regards
Robert" (3/10/06)

Pat and John --
I just opened the package containing my beautiful Omas Bronze Arco with the broad stub nib. This is an absolutely stunning pen. The material is gorgeous -- as with most things, it looks even better in person than it does in the pictures on your website -- and has a wonderful, warm feel in the hand. The nib is fabulous -- as smooth as can be, with great line-width variation and a marvelous inkflow. I couldn't be happier!
