This series of OMAS pens came out in 2005. The combination
of the sterling section and celluloid body and cap puts this
pen into a new level of design sophistication. At 5 5/8"
long, capped, this series is approximately the same length
as the full-size Paragon but the barrel diameter is almost
1/16" larger, giving the pen a more robust look and feel.
The diameter of the section however is the same as all other
Omas pens of this approximate size so there is no change in
the way the pen fits and writes in the hand, preserving the
excellent relationship between the flange at the end of the
section and the fingers.

Notice the simple tapers of
both the cap and barrel. The redesigned clip also bespeaks simplicity.
Also notice the fit and finish of this pen. Once again OMAS
excels at elegant, unencumbered design. |

The Burkina nitrocellulose material is reminiscent of the
most complex material designs of the 1930's, especially the
Sheaffer's WASP Clipper of 1938. The Burkina, made of hand laid
pieces of different colored resin, cut into a pattern of lights,
darks and ambers, is the most innovative color to come along
in a very long time. Also available in the 360
series, there is nothing else like it in the world of pens.
