We have the Pilot/Namiki matte black Vanishing Point fountain pen.

Unusual in its transparency this Portable Cigar (without clip) fountain pen exploits the simple shape to great advantage.

The transparency of this red amber color is much more evident when it it back lit. Our photography only captures a hint of the nature of this material.

Achieved by coating semi-transparent resin in a dark urushi lacquer and then polishing back the ends and edges, the subtle shift from opaque to see-through is subtle and engaging.

The end of the barrel, seen on the left is almost identical, except for the shape of the curve from the end of the cap. Both reveal just enough transparency.

This same two-tone concept is illustrated in red and black Urushi lacquer in the Long Akebono red and black fountain pen.

The Nakaya nib, imprinted Nakata, the family name of the manufacturer is made of solid 14K gold, our favorite alloy for pen nibs. Seen to the left is a soft medium nib. It adds some flexibility to the point without adding any additional cost.

Each of these nibs is suitable for our customization to extra flexible (an additional $65 charge). The medium, broad and extra broad tip can be customized into a cursive italic, stub or oblique point (an additional $55 for these customizations).
