| Composed of a myriad of abalone chips embedded on the surface of this Piccolo pen, this one is truly captivating. | ||

| The random shaped and evenly spaced chips reflect light in different directions and different colors. When this pen is turned in the fingers each surface changes color and brightness. The use of embedded abalone on fountain pens was first seen in the Sheaffer's pen celluloid pens from around 1935. Before that mother-of-pearl was employed in slab sided Waterman's as well as a number of early 20th century pens. | ||
