Nakaya Neo Standard
Aka-tamenuri (Reddish-Red)
A warm reddish glow emerges around the edges of this pen. The Neo Standard has domed ends that allow the red to come forward. The "Aka" is the lighter of the two reddish pens. The "Kuro" does show red, but it is much more deeper in color.

Notice the long tapered tale of the barrel. The is a subtle and considered shape that is hand crafted from solid hard rubber. It fits perfectly at the back of the hand and into the web between thumb and first finger. There is no need to post this cap.

The Maki-e painted converters are available for an additional $21.

The Nakaya nib, imprinted Nakata, the family name of the manufacturer is made of solid 14K gold.

Each of these nibs is suitable for our customization to extra flexible (additional $65). The medium and broad tip can be customized by us into cursive italic, stub or oblique points (additional $55).

Note that Nakaya nibs run finer than Western nibs of the same named size.
