The Nakaya double slit Music nib is available at an added premium, as are plated nibs in Pink Gold, Rhodium, Ruthenium, or Two-Tone.

The Nakaya Deskpen in Kuro-roiro is a sleek fountain pen that can be used either on its own or with the matching Deskpen Stand in Kuro-roiro (available as an additional add-on).
This is a long but comfortable pen. The Nakaya Deskpen is perfect for signing documents, addressing letters, or even as an everyday writer. The long tapered barrel gives it perfect visual balance and the light weight renders it comfortable in the hand.

Rich black urushi is used for the finish. The Deskpen in Kuro-roiro elevates the classic color to new heights with its perfect taper.

The barrel tapers to provide balance, and to allow for an enhanced writing experience. The flat end cap helps balance the elongated shape of the pen.

Nakaya pens can be filled with bottled fountain pen ink using the provided converter and can also use Platinum brand ink cartridges. Hand-painted Maki-e converters are also available. 


14k nibs are well-suited to customizations including Stub, Cursive Italic, and Left Oblique, as well as the modification for added flex.

When the Nakaya Deskpen in Kuro-roiro is in uncapped position, it can be displayed in a matching deskpen stand, which is sold separately. Together the pair creates an elegant set that looks striking on any desk at home or work. 


Best of all, when this desk pen is placed in the trumpet within arms reach you will have instant access to a pen with great balance and a superb writing nib. 


Nakaya pens are individually handcrafted in a process that requires a minimum of three to six months and often much longer.
 

Decorative rice paper, a simple solid softwood shipping box decorated with Japanese Kanji script, and a fabric pen "kimono" are all included with this pen, making it a lovely presentation item. Sensible and elegant packaging has long been a hallmark of the Nakaya brand.
