Nakaya Celluloid Jade
Celluloid fountain pens date back to the early 1920's in the United States. Only a very few companies make them today because they require individual machining and finishing (unlike the injection molded pens that most companies make.) The material is expensive and the results are glorious, especially in Jade.
This pen shows a transparency and richness typical of this celluloid.
Nakaya has made a small number of these celluloid pens, but are sold out of them at present. They cannot make but a few, given the limited quantities of the rod stock from which they are made.

The Nakaya name along with the words "Fountain Pen Japan" are engraved around the band.

We can provide a Platinum converter used to fill this pen with ink in either the simple form or the painted "goldfish" design for an additional $21.00
The Nakaya nib, imprinted Nakata, the family name of the manufacturer is made of solid 14K gold. The box that comes with this pen is wooden and simple and well crafted. It is covered with an outer thick rice paper box and inside is a lovely fabric pen pouch to protect the pen.

Each of these nibs is suitable for our customization to extra flexible. The medium and broad tip can be customized by us into cursive italic, stub or oblique points.
