Nakaya Piccolo Writer Nanohana-iro
Requested by a customer through us the Nakaya Piccolo Writer in Nanohana-iro finish is one of the more recent additions. Muted pastel Nanohana-iro is suggestive of desert sands, mustard fields, and khaki. It is seen here with the fumigated silver clip and rhodium plated gold nib.

As with all Nakaya ebonite pens, the Piccolo Writer in Nanohana-iro has been hand-turned from naturally harvested hard rubber. Urushi finish is applied by skilled artisans in the Wajima region on the west coast of Japan, and final assembly takes place in the Nakaya workshop in Tokyo.
Nakaya pens can be filled with bottled fountain pen ink using the provided converter and can also use Platinum brand ink cartridges. Hand-painted Maki-e converters are also available.
This is one of the more controversial colors here as people either love it or not. I love it. JM
Please note that Nakaya has changed the hue of this finish - the new version can be seen in the base color of the Portable Cigar Zaryu 2 pen. As with all Nakaya colors, the exact hue of each hand-finished pen may vary slightly - no two will ever be exactly the same.
Decorative rice paper, a simple solid softwood shipping box decorated with Japanese Kanji script, and a fabric pen "kimono" are all included with this pen, making it a lovely presentation item. Sensible and elegant packaging has long been a hallmark of the Nakaya brand.
Nakaya pens are individually handcrafted in a process that requires a minimum of three to six months and often much longer.
