"Reserving judgments is a matter of infinite
hope" - The Great Gatsby
|
|
|
|
The F. Scott Fitzgerald is arguably the most
art deco design of any fountain pen ever made. The streamline
shape is inspired by the time when the speed of locomotives
and airplanes was a novelty. The "stepped" clip and
proportional bands are also hallmarks of the late 1920's and
early 30's deco period. Architects, industrial designers and
artists were producing buildings, toasters and paintings that
reflected these stylistic innovations.

|
With its black resin cap, section and barrel
end, marbled ivory barrel and silver bands this pen pays homage
to the art deco style of America and the era in which Fitzgerald
lived and wrote.
At 5 3/8 inches long, capped, and weighing 28 grams this fountain
pen has a slightly bulbous shape with the cap on.
|
|

F. Scott Fitzgerald's signature is engraved with a
flourish on the cap.
The limited edition number (7925/18500) is also engraved
near the clip.
