Honoring the historical French novelist, Montblanc created
16000 of these Limited Edition Alexander Dumas sets. We have managed to get a
hold of one of these popular fountain pens, and pencil, in near mint condition. At
5 1/4" capped, the fountain pen weights in at a reasonable 35.7 grams. The
pencil measures 5 1/4" and weighs 31 grams. The most
distinctive feature of the Dumas ballpoint is the sword symbol that sits on the
clip. There is nothing more characteristic of Dumas's works than the swashbuckling
heroes of The Three Musketeers and The Count of Monte Cristo. The
cap band, engraved with four quill feathers, transports us back to the literary
world of 19th century France. The section contains a marbled, pearlescent resin
reminiscent of the mansion halls of French aristocracy. |
