Pen Nibs |
| The
solid 14k gold Medium tipped nib is available for kit pens. It is a generic nib
made by Bock, the largest gold nib maker in the world. We have it in two sizes.
We can no longer provide the inner section and feed on the #5 just below.
However, this nib will replace many steel nibs in kit pens. |

The tipping detail from the nib above reveals very high quality
workmanship. Notice the extra gold thickness which supports the hard surface tipping
pellet. Both nibs are firm and durable. |
The large nib assembly with the feed & housing will
simply screw into the following common kits without any modifications: Gentlemen's,
Statesmen & Emperor. They will also work for some others, but with slight
modifications. The smaller nib unit will fit Jr. Gentlemen's, Jr. Statesmen
V1 & V2, Baron, Navigator and most other kits using this size nib. Some minor
modifications will need to be done for some other kits. Hint: most kit pen
nibs themselves can be pulled straight out of the pen along with the feed. The
new gold nib can then be slid back into the section along with the feed.
We do not have any other kit pen parts or the tools to make parts. Sorry.

The first two nibs and sections
on the left are the front sections for the Gentlemen & Statesmen, the only
difference is the plating. The Emperor front section, third from the left is very
similar except that it has a more pronounced flange. The inner section and nib
unit is seen on the right. These nibs can be reground to fine
or an extra-fine points. Also, they are suitable for making into a medium-fine
stub, medium-fine italic or medium-fine oblique points. These tipping customizations
add $55 to the cost of a nib. |
