Bexley Imperial Prototype Hard Rubber
With a nod to Nakaya Pen Company and the simplicity of shape, Bexley has produced a beautiful streamlined pen.
The long gripping section as well as the extra long barrel make posting the cap of this pen unnecessary. It has a lovely balance in the hand. In another recent first, Bexley has created an "eyedropper" pen capable of holding a large part of a bottle of ink. The entire barrel fills. Because there are no metal parts inside, there is nothing to corrode. Of course, cartridges or a converter also fit inside the barrel for a versatile ink use.
Machined from "wood grain" hard rubber" similar to that used in the 1920's, this is a gorgeous pen that feels light and smooth in the hand. Hard rubber is one of the most enduring pen materials. Many of the hard rubber pens from the early part of the last century are still doing very well.

Each of the 18K two-tone top grade German made, Bock nibs is hand set by Howard Levy. And of course, we test write each pen with ink on paper and adjust them to the specifications that you prescribe.

We offer a variety of point sizes: Fine, Medium, Broad, and Stub. The Stub is particularly well suited to our cursive italic customization with writing widths anywhere up to 1.2 mm.(This is wider than the equivalent of a Pelikan double broad point.)

Our Price $440.00 - SOLD OUT

The regular production Imperial is still available. The only way that one can tell the difference between the Prototype and the standard production is the cap lip which is sharp cut on the regular production. The standard production cap and barrel is almost seamless in appearance.
