are individually machined from solid blocks of cast acrylic

| The "shell" relates to a long tradition of pearlescence embedded in semi-transparent celluloid material of fountain pens beginning in the mid 1920's. The advantage of this resin material is its durability. Where some celluloid pens have deteriorated over the course of time, the resins appear to be more stable. | ||
