Bexley Elegancia Collection

The Elegancia collection fountain pen is available in Blue Shell, Gold Shell, Silver Shell, and Red Shell. They are full size pen, measuring 5.25” when closed. They are individually machined from solid blocks of cast acrylic resin, so they are both beautiful and durable. They also have Bexley’s distinctive roller ball clip.

The "shell" relates to a long tradition of pearlescence embedded in semi-transparent celluloid material of fountain pens beginning in the mid 1920's. The advantage of this resin material is its durability. Where some celluloid pens have deteriorated over the course of time, the resins appear to be more stable.

Each of the 18K two-tone top grade German made, Bock nibs is hand set by Howard Levy. And of course, we test write each pen with ink on paper and adjust them to the specifications that you prescribe.

We can offer this pen with a variety of point sizes: Fine, (seen to the left) Medium, Broad and Stub. The Stub nib is particularly well suited to our cursive italic customization with writing widths anywhere up to 1.2 mm. (This is wider than the equivalent of a Pelikan double broad point.)
