Bexley Dragon Maki-e Limited Edition
The Bexley Company introduces a 28-piece Maki-e limited edition fountain pen based on the popular Poseidon fountain pen.
The pen is made in the USA from black acrylic and then sent to Japan to have the Maki-e artist create the Dragon.

The Maki-e is made of gold powder applied to urushi lacquer. After the lacquer sets the surface is recoated and polished to a soft luster.

The dragon winds through clouds of gold in pursuit of the pearl. (Made of pieces of abalone inlaid into the barrel.)

The artist signature is located on the back end of the barrel above the edition number.

Very limited edition of 28 world wide. We have number 6/28 in stock.

This pen comes in a beautiful and unusual presentation box with limited edition papers.

Each of the 18K two-tone top grade German made, Bock nibs is hand set by Howard Levy. And of course, we test write each pen with ink on paper and adjust them to the specifications that you prescribe.

We can offer this pen with a variety of point sizes: Fine, Medium, Broad and Stub, (seen to the left). The Stub is particularly well suited to our cursive italic customization with writing widths anywhere up to 1.2 mm.(This is wider than the equivalent of a Pelikan double broad point.)
