Bexley BX802 Cracked Ice

The "cracked ice" color first appeared in the Conway Stewart celluloid fountain pen of the 1930's. The scarcity and fragility of that color led to an appitite for it amoung pen collectors. Here we can have our cake and eat it too. This pen is not scarce (at least not yet) nor is it fragile. This material, made of acrylic rod stock, specially designed for this pen color, captures the feel of the twenties without the problems of disintegrating celluloid. (From what we know now, acrylic is much more stable than the plastic pen material of the early days.)

The caps and barrels of the BX802 are made from colorful cast acrylic, with contrasting colors on the top of the cap and the grip section. The rounded end caps make this a friendly pen with a bold and elegant proportion. The marbled, irridescent flecks make this pen shimmer with attitude and confidence.
This pen is available with a solid gold 18K two-tone nib in Fine, Medium, Broad and Stub (seen to the right) points. The two-tone nib is the same as in all of the top line Bexley pens.

The matching roller ball is also available to order. These pens use a widely available Schmidt refill. The retail price of the roller ball is $99.00 Our price is $79.20
